I had a night on the Chinatown last Friday with the girls from the office, Shia, taking the picture, my boss, Adi, with me here, and Yuri. Shia introduced all to delightful Peking Duck. I highly enjoyed it. Also, while walking back through Chinatown, I almost bought me a little baby turtle, for $1. They were the cutest things ever. A whole bunch of them were swimming in a saucer. They were maybe 2" long. I figured Bryan would kill me though if I brought one home. So, I left them there, even though it almost broke my heart.
This is the chef carving our whole peking duck. Head and all. It was pretty cool, and also delicious. When you guys come to visit, this is where we have to go for chinese. The name of it is the Peking Duck House. Imagine that.
This is Yuri and Adi. Yuri's from Japan. I'm going to go there with her next summer. He he. She doesn't know this yet.

Buttons our Christmas kitty. I think he actually liked having this bow on. He didn't like putting it on, but he didn't protest while wearing it.

Peggy and I went to see the Zaha Hadid exhibit up at the Guggenheim a little while ago. It was fun.

Bryan's parents and his brother came up last week. The siblings went to a baseball game Friday night and Nickie and Matthew and I went on a Circle Line cruise. It was fun to play tourist for a while. I enjoyed seeing a side of Manahattan that I'm not used to. The water was really pretty, but the bathrooms really smelled bad because apparently the water looks good, but doesn't smell quite so sweet.

This was our day out last Saturday. We went to a Real Foods Market, which was kind of pitiful, but we did get some delicious champagne currants, but then we found this street fair. It was fun. We had smoothies and I had a Gyro and Bryan had a Crepe. And there were all kinds of stalls with fun stuff, from Jewelry to Underwear to Art.

This is our silly cat, Buttons. He did this all own his own. Maybe because the apartment was hot, but who knows.

So, on our way out to the Hamptons, Bryan and I found this really awesome petting zoo. They had all kinds of animals. I fed baby goats, and sheep, and donkeys and some Fallow Deer, which were my favorite. They're these really pretty blond deer. Bryan really liked the giant camel, the llamas and Alpacas, and the miniature goats, oh, and the giant, lazy pigs. (They were really gross though.)





Okay, this was my favorite part of the zoo. This llama was really excited about meeting Bryan and eating his food. So Bryan held out the bucket and freaked out when the llama went to town. It was really funny.









This guy was huge. I've never seen a camel so big up close. He wasn't too interested in us though.

This little guy wasn't too fond of me holding him. His little heart was out of control, so I put him down right after the picture to be with his other buddies.

I like the babies the best. Can you tell?

Even though it's sideways, you can see the Empire State Building behind Bryan. This is when we went to see the Parson M.F.A. Exit show, so we could get an idea of what he can expect in the next two years. The work was actually pretty decent, so we're both excited that he'll be going to such a good school. It's fairly near my office, too. He'll start sometime this September.

The End to a Long Memorial Day weekend. I think everyone had a good time. I know we did. It was nice to get out on the lake and be with our friends and family.

Kit is really excited about going out on the lake. Above is the morning after White Trash Prom. It went really well as you can tell.

Here is some more of my favorite subway art. These are bronze sculptures found all over this station, I forget what number it is, but it's downtown. Pretty cool, huh? The one to the left is an alligator climbing up out of the sewer and eating a man.

This is Mom and Amy on the steps of the Met, right before the rain starts coming down. The only bad weather they had all trip, and they were on their way to the airport. Pretty lucky.

This is us at the Met. Mom kept telling me Amy had never been there, and so when we got there, Amy says, isn't this the one with the pyramid? So, we all got to see it one more time. There was a really great Fashion exhibit up, called something like Brit-o-Mania. There were some Frederick Worth gowns that my mother gushed about.

Mom and her best friend, Amy came up to see us a couple of weekends ago. We had a really good time. This is at a really delicious, sort of fine cuisine, Mexican restaurant near my office called Rose Mexicano. Amy said she didn't like guacomole, until they came and made it fresh at our tables.

Here are some more of the 50th St. Alice in Wonderland Mosaics that I just love. I thought I would share.

On our first night together, we went out to this great italian place that has super good pizzas. And then I made Bryan ask the waiter to take our picture. I thought our moms would appreciate it.

This is all of us waiting for the parade, it was pretty cold standing around and you can tell by our expressions that we would rather not have another picture taken. But Alex was a sport and documented the moment anyways.

The Parade was super cool. I loved all the bag pipers. Here's one in full regalia, piping away. I wish I could put the video I have on here with the sound, that would be awesome, but this is a pretty good substitute.
After the St. Patty's Parade, we walked through Central Park and posed in front of the castle.
We went to the Brooklyn Brewery on Saturday and while I was not so interested, as I hate beer, Bryan loved it. He would be super happy to take anyone along with him for another trip. This is art on the way there, which I told everyone to stand in front of, like tourists. He he.


We're waiting for the subway on Jacob and Christie's last day. We're going to the T.V. and Broadcast museum where they have a library where you can pick anything to watch or listen to for two hours. I watched the Gummi Bears and Patty Duke and Alana watched the Wonder Years and the boys and Christie watched a variety of Nickolodeon shows. It was awesome.

Jake and I went to the crepe restaurant on his last day. It was super good. We both really enjoyed it, until the the school kids, who apparently can leave school for lunch, stormed the place. It was insane, there weren't enough chairs and they were gabbing a mile a minute and helping themselves to ketchup and drinks behind the counter. I have never seen anything like it outside of middle school cafeterias. Cera likes to wake up guests by giving them an early morning kiss. It's her favorite thing to do. Mom really loved it.
